Our Story

Built on South African Roads. Driven by Purpose.

Since 2020, RoadLink Rentals has been building South Africa's most reliable motorcycle solutions business — one partnership, one rider, and one road at a time.

Who We Are

More than a motorcycle rental company. South Africa's end-to-end two-wheel solutions partner.

RoadLink Rentals was established in 2020 with a clear understanding of a gap in the South African market: businesses needed more than just a bike. They needed a reliable, accountable partner who could manage their entire motorcycle operation — from procurement and maintenance to rider readiness and breakdown response.

Starting with a small fleet serving fast food delivery clients in Johannesburg, RoadLink quickly earned a reputation for operational reliability and genuine service commitment. That reputation became the foundation on which we have built a nationally operating business — one that today partners with businesses across food delivery, retail, grocery, pharmacy, e-commerce and logistics.

Today, RoadLink Rentals offers six distinct service lines — fleet rental, individual and business rent-to-own programmes, motorcycle sales, spare parts supply, on-site and off-site service and repairs, and certified rider training and sourcing. We are not just a supplier. We are a long-term partner invested in the success of every business and rider we serve.

Our Team

Decades of experience. One dedicated team.

Our team brings together decades of experience across the motorcycle, automotive, fleet, logistics and supply chain industries — combining established industry knowledge with hands-on operational expertise.

Our roots in the South African motorcycle industry run deep, with more than 80 years of motorcycle retail, racing and technical heritage within our ownership group. This is supported by extensive experience in commercial fleet operations, motorcycle maintenance, rider development and the professional training of approximately 3,000 motorcycle riders.

Beyond motorcycles, our leadership team brings significant experience in fleet and logistics management, procurement, supply chain, vehicle recovery and salvage, finance, asset management, business development and operational improvement — giving RoadLink a unique understanding of the complete lifecycle of a commercial vehicle, from sourcing and financing, through daily operation and maintenance, to eventual recovery and disposal.

The RoadLink Rentals team
Our Journey

From a small Johannesburg fleet to a national motorcycle solutions business — in four years.

2020

Founded — The First Fleet

RoadLink Rentals is established in Johannesburg with a focused mandate: provide fast food delivery businesses with reliable, fully maintained motorcycle fleets. The first fleet — a core of Honda Ace 125s — is deployed to serve quick service restaurant clients in the greater Johannesburg area. The full maintenance model is introduced from day one: one fixed cost, zero maintenance burden for the client.

2021

Growing the Partnership Base

RoadLink formalises partnerships with several of South Africa's leading QSR brands, including Debonairs Pizza, Steers, and Del Forno. Fleet size grows significantly as client demand increases. A dedicated onsite maintenance capability is introduced, reducing bike downtime and strengthening the full maintenance promise to clients.

2022

24/7 Breakdown & GPS Tracking Launched

In response to client feedback and the growing scale of fleet operations, RoadLink launches a dedicated 24/7 breakdown response service. A dedicated breakdown vehicle and response team ensures that no client fleet stays grounded. Real-time GPS tracking is rolled out across the entire fleet, providing clients with live visibility of every unit in operation.

2023

Expanding Into Logistics & Courier

RoadLink's operational model proves its value beyond the restaurant sector. Skynet and Pro Africa Logistics join the client base, bringing courier and logistics operations into the RoadLink portfolio. Rider training is formalised as a structured programme, ensuring every rider operating a RoadLink bike meets a consistent safety and performance standard.

2024

National Reach. Broader Client Base.

RoadLink expands its operating footprint nationally across South Africa. SPAR2U, Romans Pizza, Level-Up Training, and Lula Rides are added to the client roster. The business continues to refine its fleet management systems and account management model, establishing a dedicated team structure to support its growing national client base.

2025–2026

The Full-Service Evolution

RoadLink launches its most significant expansion to date — evolving from a fleet rental company into South Africa's complete motorcycle solutions partner. New service lines introduced include Roadlink Riders (individual rent-to-own), OwnDrive (business rent-to-own), outright motorcycle and scooter sales, a spare parts supply operation, and expanded on-site and off-site service and repair capabilities. RoadLink is no longer just a rental company. It is an end-to-end motorcycle business partner.

The RoadLink Difference

Four reasons South Africa's leading brands choose RoadLink.

End-to-End Service

Most motorcycle rental companies provide a bike and a basic agreement. RoadLink provides a complete operational ecosystem — rental, ownership, sales, parts, repairs, training, and driver sourcing — all from a single, accountable partner. One relationship. One point of contact. Zero complexity.

Real-Time Fleet Visibility

Every RoadLink bike is GPS-tracked, giving clients and our operations team live visibility of every unit in the field. This enables faster breakdown response, better route accountability, and the reporting data businesses need to make informed operational decisions.

24/7 Breakdown Response

A grounded bike is a revenue loss. Our dedicated breakdown response team operates around the clock — every day of the year. Whether it is a flat tyre at midnight or a mechanical fault during peak delivery hours, we dispatch immediately. Our goal is simple: get your rider back on the road as fast as possible.

Invested in Your Success

RoadLink's business grows when our clients' businesses grow. That alignment of interest drives everything we do. We assign dedicated account management, we proactively flag operational issues before they become problems, and we continuously develop new service offerings — like rent-to-own and driver sourcing — because our clients asked for them.
